Our Offices

YouthCare works on an appointment basis; therefore, we ask that you call for appointments during our regular office hours. Frequently your child will need an appointment in the morning or afternoon or may need to be seen immediately when you call. We realize this and will do our very best to see your child as quickly and conveniently as possible after your call, but please call first. We will treat children without appointments, but will have to see them after those who have scheduled visits first. In this situation, there will almost always be a delay unless, of course, the child is extremely ill and requires immediate attention. Appointments for acute illnesses will not be scheduled ahead of time, but must be scheduled for the day that you call requesting to be seen.

If you find yourself unable to keep an appointment or wish to cancel, we ask that you notify us within a reasonable time so that we may reassign your appointment time to another patient. Many clinics assess a charge against patients who fail to show up for appointments without prior cancellation.

In a busy medical practice, unfortunately, delays are inevitable. There will be, at times, unpredictable nursery or hospital emergencies, or office visits which require more time than anticipated; however, we place great emphasis on seeing our patients promptly. Your child's well-being is our primary concern; please bear with us during any unexpected delays.

The charges for services that we render to patients remain the responsibility of the parents, and we look to the parents to assume that responsibility with conscientious regard. Since the billing process and the mailing of statements are expensive, we request that charges be paid at the time service is rendered in the office. Many insurance companies have a co-payment for office visits; payment of your co-pay is requested prior to treatment. Cash, check, debit and credit cards will be accepted.

We will be happy to discuss our fees with you. At your request, we can provide an itemized listing of current charges. We understand that from time to time financial problems may arise. We are always willing to discuss arrangement of payments with you during these times and would be disappointed if you failed to seek medical help for your child because of financial difficulties. Please inform us if you are in need of this service.

YouthCare will file your insurance for all office, hospital or nursery care. Georgia Better Health Care/Medicaid/Peachcare is accepted; we ask that you bring your card or proof of enrollment at the time of each visit.

YouthCare complies strictly with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) to protect your health information.
